Sarah Jelly is a Solicitor who specialises in family law. She is a member of Resolution (First for Family Law). She is also a member of the Law Societys Family Law and Mediation Accreditation Schemes and is a qualified collaborative practitioner.

Sarah joined Family Law Partners as a Consultant in 2015 and has built up a reputation as one of the leading family lawyers in the South East. Previously Head of Family Law at a leading regional practice and prior to that in a Brighton/Lewes based firm, Sarah has extensive experience of advising people on relationship issues.

A long-standing member of Resolution, Sarah helps clients to deal with their problems in a non-confrontational way. As well as advising on divorce and separation, Sarah’s experience encompasses agreements prior to civil partnerships and marriages as well as difficulties that occur during relationships.

Sarah has practised as a collaborative practitioner since February 2007 and is a highly skilled mediator, having started this part of her practice in 1996.

In 2013 Sarah represented the wife in the reported case of RvR and Others[2013] EWHC 4244 (Fam) on the issue of the responsibility of shadow directors in family companies.

Sarah also has extensive experience in matters involving children, and helps parents resolve issues surrounding practical arrangements, schooling and maintenance.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys being outdoors, travel, theatre and spending time with family.
