Family Law Partners has announced the arrival of family law specialist Emily Pain, who joins the firm on 20th April as a Consultant Family Law Solicitor from Stowe Family Law.
Family Law Partners, holders of The Law Society “Medium Law Firm of the Year’ title, has seen rapid expansion since its launch in 2011 and this year is proving to be no exception.
Headquartered in Brighton, the team currently has offices in Horsham, London and Hampshire. Emily’s arrival extends Family Law Partners’ reach further into North Hampshire and Surrey, and from her base in Hartley Wintney will advise clients in Fleet, Hook and the surrounding areas, including Guildford, Farnham, Farnborough, Alton and Basingstoke. She also advises clients living in the Thames Valley, London and abroad.
Having worked exclusively in family law for the duration of her career, Emily has secured extensive experience and respect from clients and peers alike. She has been recognised by the Legal 500 as “extremely conscientious and supportive of her clients”.
Emily has extensive experience of all aspects of family law, in particular complex financial issues and wide-ranging children disputes following a divorce or separation. She is well versed in the interrelationship between money and children following a relationship breakdown, and is often instructed in high net worth cases involving multiple property portfolios, inherited wealth, off-shore assets, family trust instruments and complex business assets. Her client matters concerning children range from straightforward domestic issues to international cases including wardship and child relocation abroad.
Emily says “I have dedicated my entire career to family law, and to join one of the most forward-thinking firms in the profession is incredibly exciting. Having spent the last 4 years practicing in London I am delighted to be taking Family Law Partner’s unique approach to family law into an area where I grew up and previously practised. I am passionate that a non-confrontational approach to divorce and separation is not only the most sensible route for people in the short-term, but also serves the whole family best in the long-term. This approach is what Family Law Partners is known for, and I am looking forward to making this approach available to more people in the Hartley Wintney and North Hants area”.
A member of Resolution, Emily’s approach is to always look at the needs of the whole family. In keeping with Family Law Partners’ commitment to dispute resolution, she actively promotes a non-confrontational approach, resulting in a better outcome for families and children.
Robert Williams, Director at Family Law Partners, said “Further, focused expansion is an ongoing aim of Family Law Partners, but it relies on attracting the right people who share our vision and values. Having spent a number of years at respected boutique family firm, Emily not only has the right experience but, crucially, the right philosophy for our ‘brand’ of family law. She has built a reputation as a dedicated lawyer whose non-confrontational approach is as supportive as it is effective. We are thrilled Emily has chosen to join us”.
