Leading City lawyer Mark Harrop joins leading South East practice Family Law Partners, heading up a new London base for the Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 ranked firm.

A trained family mediator and accredited collaborative law practitioner, Mark’s dispute resolution background and client-centric approach brings a refreshing take on family law to clients in the City – where the focus is invariably highly litigious. Mark said:

I have long-admired FLP’s vision of offering real choice and holistic support to their clients. I find the firm’s commitment to dispute resolution, coupled with therapeutic support through a network of counsellors and family therapists, enormously exciting.  I’m delighted to be a part of the future growth of FLP by heading and growing a London office.

Mark was one of a handful of family lawyers recognised as “rising stars of the private client professions” by ePrivateClient magazine in their annual list of the “Top 35 Under 35″. He was also included in the 2018 Citywealth Leaders List of recommended wealth managers and advisers.

Well-known and respected among his legal peers for his forward-thinking views on family law and the profession, Mark sat for two years as chair of London YRes, representing the 500+ junior members of Resolution in London.

Robert Williams, Director at Family Law Partners, said:

At FLP we have made no secret of our desire to grow, and establishing a presence in London has long been an ambition. We are thrilled we have been able to attract a lawyer of Mark’s calibre through a shared vision of what family law can look like when clients are given options and a package of support. His experience and passion for DR, together with his views on how complementary services and technology can better empower clients, make him a natural fit for our growing team.

Mark joins on 7th January 2019 as Director.
