Claire is a Senior Associate and Mediator at Family Law Partners, based in our Tunbridge Wells office.
Claire qualified as a family solicitor in 2010, she advises clients on all aspects of divorce and separation, with particular expertise in cases involving complex businesses, tax issues, trusts (including offshore trusts) and significant pension arrangements.
Claire is especially interested in helping clients preserve and protect family assets and wealth, and regularly advises on pre- and post-nuptial agreements. She also has considerable experience of complex children matters, including cases involving serious allegations of harm or parental alienation, and issues arising from relocation, both domestically and internationally.
Claire’s approach is constructive, pragmatic and conciliatory, and she always strives for an out-of-court resolution wherever this is achievable. She works collaboratively with her clients, providing reasoned advice and family-led solutions in a cost-effective manner, and tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs and goals – supporting them every step of the way.
Claire trained as a mediator in 2025, adding a further dimension to the support she can offer clients going through separation or divorce. Mediation allows couples to work through the practical and financial consequences of separation together, in a safe, structured environment, with the guidance of a neutral and specially trained professional – rather than leaving those decisions to the court.
Claire is a strong advocate for family mediation as a way of helping families move forward with dignity and control over their own outcomes. It is typically quicker, less costly and less adversarial than court proceedings, and allows couples, particularly those with children, to preserve a workable relationship for the future. Claire’s combination of specialist legal expertise and mediation training means she can help clients understand the full range of options available to them and choose the path that best suits their family’s needs.
