Jackie is a Trainee Solicitor and joined the team in March 2019.
Prior to joining Family Law Partners Jackie worked in the litigation department on the Paralegal to Trainee Scheme at a local regional law firm.
Before starting the trainee programme Jackie approached Family Law Partners to gain family law experience as she felt that the firm’s values – a focus on dispute resolution, innovation, and compassion – were aligned with her own. She briefly worked alongside Head of Innovation & Technology, Alan, assisting him with IBM Watson data analysis in early 2018.
Jackie completed her undergraduate degree at Brown University and worked as an arts and culture writer in London and the US. In 2014 she completed a Masters in Public Policy at UCL while working in a constituency office, speaking with members of the public about their pressing concerns. It was during this time that Jackie’s passion for finding positive solutions for people experiencing personal issues was reinforced and she decided to transition to a career in law.
Jackie completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) in 2016 and the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2017 at BPP University with distinction.
Jackie enjoys walks in the downs and runs by the sea, and is currently training for a marathon (always while absorbed in a podcast). As an American, she is also actively involved in empowering US citizens to exercise their right to vote in US elections from abroad.
