More About Loren

Where did you grow up –  where is home for you?

I was born and raised in Milton Keynes.

What attracted you to study in Brighton?

Originally, I was not meant to study in Brighton but none the less I do not regret that I ended up studying here instead of my initial courses I always wanted to be by the sea and beach so I would say that what attracted me most to Brighton and the opportunities that the course at Brighton university has offered me.

What led you to study law?

The whole concept of the law has always been something that interested me as well as the whole injustice that is faced within life has been something that I wanted to have an impact on.

Do you have any thoughts on where your studies might take you professionally? Where do you see yourself in the future?

In the future I hope to become a solicitor, in terms of which law specialty I am thinking of Family law, Criminal Law or International Law but it is hard to know especially when learning new thing throughout my course.

What are you hoping to get out of the Family Law Partners scholarship scheme?

As part of the scholarship scheme, I am hoping to discover more about law and the real-life application of it and what life as a solicitor really looks like, as well as getting some work experience which will benefit me in the long term.

What do you enjoy spending time on away from studying? What are your hobbies, your passions?

In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as I have always had an interest in art and is something I would say I am quite passionate about making art and looking at art.
