More About Rosa

Rosa’s legal studies began at Exeter University, where she obtained a First Class LLB Law degree. In 2017, she was ranked as the overall top law student of her cohort and was awarded several prizes including The Oxford University Press Prize, The Michelmores, Land Law Prize and the Dean’s Commendation for outstanding academic performance.

In her final year of study, Rosa chose to study family law as one of her elective modules and immediately felt an affinity for the subject. She was subsequently ranked as the top family law student of her cohort and was awarded The Stephen Cretney Family Law Prize in recognition.

After university, Rosa moved to London to complete her training contract with a specialist family law firm, where she gained experience in all aspects of family law. She assisted senior members of the legal team with a range of divorce and finance matters, often involving high net worth individuals, jurisdictional disputes, and issues of non-disclosure. Rosa also obtained specialist training in children law and has assisted with complex child arrangement matters and cases of international child abduction. She undertook the LPC at BPP University at the same time as her training contract and achieved a distinction.

Aware of the increased rates of domestic abuse during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rosa has recently become a legal volunteer with the organisation Rights of Women. In this role, Rosa will be providing a legal helpline service to victims of domestic abuse. She is extremely passionate about this cause.

Out of office, Rosa loves nothing more than to spend time with her family and friends. She is also a keen runner, having completed the Vitality Half marathon last year in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
