Sarah has specialised in family law since 1993 and now works mainly as a collaborative family lawyer and an accredited mediator. She has extensive experience, having worked at large regional and smaller local firms and advises clients on the whole range of family law matters. Sarah is committed to dispute resolution as a non-adversarial and cost-effective way to support clients in reaching mutual agreements which are practical for their families and which focus especially on the needs of any children involved.
A highly skilled and experienced Mediator, Sarah offers mediation (including Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings or MIAMs) for issues relating to both children and finances, including online video mediation. She works with her clients in a variety of ways, ensuring that the process is tailored to their individual needs. Sarah is trained as a Hybrid Mediator which is a way of mediating where clients can bring their solicitors to meetings with them for added support and advice. She is also a qualified Child Inclusive Mediator.
Sarah works regularly with family consultants who can provide added expertise and support for clients as they make important long-term decisions for their families.
She is part of a thriving local collaborative network which includes family lawyers, mediators, family consultants, financial advisers and therapists who all work together with the aim of reducing the distress which can arise when family arrangements change.
Sarah is a member of Resolution, The Family Mediation Council, Brightpod, Sussex Family Solutions and accredited as a family mediator by The Law Society.
Sarah is a Recommended Mediator and Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 UK 2026 directory and is known for delivering clear and comprehensive advice at all stages, and understands that it can often be daunting and overwhelming for clients to decide upon the best way to resolve their situation. She has a background in legal research from earlier work as a law librarian at an international firm and overseas which can be helpful where complex or unusual points arise.
