Sharna joined the Family Law Partners Horsham team as a Paralegal in October 2021.

Sharna is currently a final year Law LLB undergraduate at the University of Surrey, looking to commence the LPC at BPP in September 2022. Alongside her academic studies, Sharna has participated in the Street Law Project which is a pro bono initiative aimed at helping different members of the community access legal education. Specifically, during the Covid-19 lockdown period, she conducted several presentations to schools in the North of England on various areas including discrimination and the criminal justice system.

It is through the Street Law Project and taking Family Law as one of her electives that Sharna has developed a keen interest in family law, particularly in the area of divorce and child maintenance.

Alongside her degree, Sharna has also engaged in various extra-curricular activities including playing for the university tennis team, a role as marketing manager for the law society, and participating in the ASPIRE programme conducted by Dell Technologies.

Sharna is particularly passionate about the role technology can play in increasing access to justice and enhancing the legal system, and has interned at a legal tech company where she gained greater insight into contract management and automation.

Outside of work, Sharna enjoys keeping active and socialising with friends and family. She is also a member of City coast church where she serves as part of the City kids team on a Sunday, which she finds a rewarding way of giving back to her local community.
