"Law has always been something that has interested me, I studied it at sixth form and from there my curiosity kept growing. I found it eye opening learning about the injustices faced from all around the world which lead me to want to keep learning more."
I was born and grew up in Salisbury.
The course itself originally attracted me to Brighton, it covered a variation of areas I was interested in, so it seemed like the course for me. The city of course played a big factor in choosing to study here, I love being by the beach and there’s always something to do, so it is impossible to be bored!
I definitely would love to be a solicitor eventually. I am particularly drawn to family law and have been for a while, so at the moment I would like to work in that area. I am always keeping my mind open though as I know there will be different modules on my course that will greatly interest me too.
Through this amazing opportunity I am hoping to get a better understanding of the legal workplace, whilst also learning lots of new transferable skills from the professionals. I am looking forward to seeing how law firms work day to day and gaining a valuable insight as to how real life cases are handled. The opportunities to network and learn from this scholarship will help me immensely in the future, and give me the knowledge I need to be successful.
Away from study I love spending time with my family and friends as well as being outdoors, whether that’s walking or swimming, I find it to be very relaxing. I also have a passion for golf, I have played most of my life so when I get the time I enjoy it very much.
