"I’m hoping to gain a deeper understanding of what a Solicitor’s day-to-day work looks like and how the different roles in a law firm all come together. I’d also love to learn more about what makes a law firm effective and trustworthy in terms of client care."
I grew up in Nottingham. It’s a place that’s always felt like home. There’s a nice mix of green spaces and character that I’ve always liked, it has a bit of everything without feeling too busy or overwhelming.
When I visited for the open day, Brighton immediately stood out. The course felt engaging, and the lecturers were enthusiastic and approachable, which left a strong impression. The city itself played a big part too; it had a creative and open-minded atmosphere that I found really appealing.
I took part in a Pathways to Law programme, which gave me a real insight into the profession and the different areas within law. I also did work experience at a local magistrates’ court, observing the different roles people played in the justice system really stuck with me, it made me curious to learn more about how the legal system works and how it affects people.
I’m keeping an open mind, but I’m particularly drawn to human rights law because it covers such a wide range of issues. Right now, I’m looking forward to exploring more modules to better understand where I want to focus.
Definitely in a law-related career, possibly as a Solicitor. I want to be in a role where I’m making a difference in people’s lives.
Music is a big one for me, particularly playing the piano, it gives me a creative outlet and a way to unwind. I also enjoy being active, whether that’s boxing or hiking. And of course, spending time with family and friends always helps me recharge.
