On the eve of No Fault Divorce, as the long awaited legislation becomes law on 6th April 2022, Family Law Partners announces the launch of Agreeable, a new service for divorcing and separating couples.
On 6th April 2022, No Fault Divorce comes into law in England and Wales. No Fault Divorce fundamentally changes how the divorce process operates, meaning an end to the requirement that couples must assign blame in order to be granted a divorce. Family Law Partners join their fellow legal professionals, members of Resolution and the National Family Justice body who have been campaigning for no fault divorce for over 30 years, and wholeheartedly welcome the change.
The award-winning team – with offices in London, Brighton, Horsham, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent and Essex – have announced the launch of their new service Agreeable, which is set to transform the delivery of family law services for separating couples in the South East and beyond.
Agreeable is an experience where a specialist family lawyer and a relationship coach work together, as a team, to deliver bespoke solutions for clients, offering a new model where one lawyer acts for both parties.
Family Law Partners will combine their unique combination of specialist legal expertise and therapeutic support – led by the firm’s own in-house Director of Client Wellbeing, Kim Crewe – to provide a mechanism for people to have the specialist emotional and legal support they need from one team with common goals.
Robert Williams, Managing Director, said:
“We are incredibly excited about the launch of Agreeable, which is the product of many years planning and hard work. Dispute Resolution is not just a service we offer at Family Law Partners – it’s in our DNA – and so Agreeable, together with the long-awaited arrival of No Fault Divorce, offers clients the chance to avoid the crossfire of an aggressive legal process and engage with one set of experts who will work in the best interests of the whole family.
When designing the Agreeable experience, we’ve taken enormous care to ensure that every aspect of the client journey is bespoke and tailored to fit around our clients’ needs, rather than an impenetrable legal process.”
Agreeable, which is already being used by a number of Sussex-based couples, launches across the Family Law Partners firm today and couples looking to divorce or separate in a different way are encouraged to get in touch to find out more about the experience.
Kim Crewe, Family Consultant, therapist, counsellor and Director of Client Wellbeing at Family Law Partners, said:
“Agreeable is a unique proposition. The solicitors in the Agreeable team are regulated by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority to the highest professional standards. They have all gone on to add additional and valuable skill sets to their legal expertise: mediation, collaborative law and arbitration. The team understand that divorce and separation can take its toll emotionally and so the addition of a relationship coach helps couples think calmly and clearly about their options and long-term outcomes. The first wave of couples who we have been supporting in this way, are reporting that the experience with Agreeable has been gentle and conflict-free, but highly effective in helping them make decisions about their and their family’s future”.
