Legal Business Awards Win for Family Law Partners

The award-winning team at Family Law Partners has been recognised at the 26th annual Legal Business Awards which celebrates the very best in the legal profession and ranks as one of the most prestigious events in the legal calendar. Our winning category was Private Client Law Firm of the Year at the event in London on 19th September 2023.

The Legal Business Awards, judged by lawyers from across the legal community, recognise the important work of lawyers across 30 categories and celebrate their many successes and outstanding achievements. Legal Business tweeted:

“The winner of Private Client Team of the Year is @FamilyLawFLP for Nova – it’s AI based tool that recommends the most appropriate dispute resolution process for divorce or separation.”

The award sees us being recognised outside of the family law only space, in a category including the top private client teams in the country, including both offshore and onshore.

Recognition is quite something in the context of firms of such a high quality, handling high-value work in the areas of estates, charities, family, contentious and non-contentious trusts and probate, as well as personal tax, particularly to high-net-worth individuals and families. As one of the largest DR teams in the country, it is particularly noteworthy that a firm which prioritises alternatives to the traditional court process has been awarded in this longstanding, prestigious award scheme.

Robert Williams and Alan Larkin, Founding Directors of Family Law Partners, said:

A decade ago, we set two goals. The first was to focus on dispute resolution alternatives to the expensive and stressful family court.  The second was to create our own technology, including AI, to reduce the emotional and financial cost of separation for our clients.  Back then, digital tech and AI was the exclusive domain of the Magic Circle firms.  This was unacceptable to us.  Why shouldn’t a boutique family law firm join the party?

We believe passionately that dispute resolution, driven by technology is the future of family law. Our win in this category is proof that our private clients agree.”
